About the role
Kent is looking for a Logistics, Materials & Tooling Coordinator to be based in Port Arthur, Texas. This individual will coordinate materials, logistics, tools, equipment, and personnel transportation to support safe, efficient, and effective project operations and commissioning activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate receipt, storage, movement, and delivery of project materials and equipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory and material tracking records.
- Manage custody and control of the project tool room, including tool issue, return, inventory, inspection, and tracking.
- Ensure tools are properly stored, maintained, calibrated, and accounted for.
- Coordinate material and tooling requirements with Commissioning, Warehouse, Procurement, Client, suppliers, and vendors.
- Support warehouse and laydown yard activities and maintain organized material storage.
- Track critical deliveries and resolve material or logistics issues affecting construction.
- Provide transportation for project personnel when required, using approved vehicles and following all site and HSE requirements.
- Maintain required logistics, tooling, transportation, and inventory documentation.
- Follow all site project safety, security, and environmental requirements.
- Support construction teams with timely materials, tools, equipment, and logistics resources.
- Perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills and role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics, materials, warehouse, tooling, or construction/commissioning support.
- Experience preparing material requests, RFQs, coordinating with suppliers, and maintaining procurement documentation.
- Experience with ERP systems; Oracle Cloud Procurement/Inventory System experience preferred.
- Industrial, LNG, oil & gas, or heavy construction experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory/material management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in an active construction environment.
