About the Role

Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and maintaining an accurate inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment. This position ensures materials are properly identified, stored, and readily available to support production, engineering, and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill internal material requests accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts as scheduled.
• Receive, inspect, and route incoming materials to designated stockroom areas.
• Maintain material storage areas in accordance with ESD, FOD, and safety standards.
• Pick and issue materials, hardware, tooling, and components to internal customers based on work orders or requests.
• Assemble and prepare kits for production or projects, ensuring all components are included and properly labeled.
• Replenish stock items (kanban) as needed to support ongoing operations.
• Assist with packaging, labeling, and routing materials to appropriate departments or workstations.
• Perform daily warehouse housekeeping, stock verification, and inventory maintenance using the company ERP system and scanners.
• Identify, report, and assist in resolving inventory discrepancies, damaged items, or shortages.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear, defects, or discrepancies and report issues promptly.
• Must be at assigned worksite during assigned hours 100% of the time (less PTO, FML/STD/LTD).
• Assist internal customers by providing guidance on stocked materials and procurement options.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives within the materials department.
• Support shipping and receiving activities as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, material documentation, and ERP transactions.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to interact professionally with peers, supervisors, and internal customers.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in stockroom, warehouse, or materials handling preferred (training available).
• Experience using ERP systems for inventory or materials management is preferred.
