Material Prep Technician - Entry Level -
About the role
The Material Prep Technician plays a crucial role in the Fabrication team at CREO Industrial Arts. They are responsible for preparing fabricated metal parts by sanding, grinding, and finishing them to meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Sand, grind, and finish fabricated metal, acrylics, and other parts using hand and power tools
- Ensure smooth, clean surfaces free of imperfections or sharp edges
- Follow blueprints, drawings, or work instructions as required
- Inspect finished work for accuracy and quality
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working order
- Adhere to safety procedures and workplace cleanliness standards
- Act as a shop hand or production helper as needed
Qualifications
- Ability to use various hand tools, grinders, and sanding equipment
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, production environment

- Previous experience in metal finishing, grinding, or sanding
