Material Inventory Clerk

About the role

We are immediately hiring for a Materials Inventory Clerk to join our Bedford, IN team. This is an entry-level inventory management role. We are looking for a candidate with strong critical thinking skills who works well with other people. No prior experience is required; all necessary training is provided. This is a growth position that could lead to many other opportunities at Ryder.

Responsibilities

• Manage part deliveries, including scheduling deliveries, adjusting deliveries, and canceling deliveries
• Monitor inventory levels to make sure they are sufficient
• React to critical inventory shortages with recovery transportation plan
• Input data into a computer system
• Read Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and use logistics management software
• Communicate via phone, email, and handheld radio transceiver with suppliers, GM personnel, and other Ryder team members
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• One (1) year or more administrative experience preferred
• Five (5) years or more relevant experience strongly recommended

Pay

$48,000 - $50,000 yearly salary (depending on experience)

Schedule

10pm - 6am Sunday - Friday (some Saturdays depending on customer needs)
