Material Handler Warehouse Forklift

About the role

Warehouse Forklift Operator positions at Ryder in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. Products handled include medical supplies. Stand-up forklifts are used in clean, organized facilities to maintain a safe supply chain environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, stage products, and load/unload trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, and bills of lading
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Work within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more of related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator’s License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all organizational levels
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment
• Highly thorough, dependable, punctual, and good attendance record
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrates a high level of initiative and accuracy under pressure
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods
• Ability to work using health and safety methods
• Available to work flexible schedules across various shifts
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Schedule

• Second shift: Wednesday – Saturday, 4:00 pm – 4:00 am
• Half day on Wednesday

Pay

• Hourly pay: $21.50 per hour
• Additional pay: $2.00 per hour when assigned to second shift
• $0.75 pay increase after 6 months of employment
