Material Handler Warehouse Forklift

About the role

Ryder is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Operator in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career opportunity in a safe supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform warehouse functions including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Auditing, staging of products, and loading/unloading of trucks
• Handling day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core production hours
• Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a diverse work environment
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Punctuality and good attendance record
• Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Standing for long periods of time
• Health and safety methods

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Ability to be a team player and work within a diverse work environment

Pay

• $21.50 per hour
• $1.00 per hour additional pay for second shift
• $0.75 pay increase after 6 months of employment
• $1.00 pay increase after a year

Schedule

• Sunday - Tuesday: 4:00pm - 4:00am
• Wednesdays: 6 hour shifts alternating between 4:00pm - 10:00pm and 10:00pm - 4:00am
