About the role

Ryder is hiring a Stand Up Forklift Operator in Sturtevant, Wisconsin. This position offers weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
  • Auditing, staging, and loading/unloading of products and trucks.
  • Handling day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading).
  • Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during production hours.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  • Ability to work within a diverse work environment.
  • High degree of accuracy, even under pressure.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience.
  • Preferred: Valid Forklift Operator's License certified.
  • Preferred: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Preferred: Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.

Pay

  • Weekly Pay: $21.50 per hour.
  • Shift Premium: $1.00 for second shift.
  • Pay Increase: $0.75 after 6 months of employment.

Schedule

  • Second Shift: Monday-Friday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm.
