Material Handler/Shipping Clerk
Role Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for the loading and unloading of trucks, packaging of materials by building customized wooden boxes and wooden skids, and providing exemplary service to internal and external customers. This role requires operating a forklift and overhead crane to transport goods and materials within the facility.
Responsibilities
- Load flatbeds and LTL trucks for outbound shipments
- Perform verification of bill of lading and packing list prior to loading material
- Engage with Stock Room and Aftermarket Team
- Conduct inspections and provide damaged goods with a damage identification, as needed
- Verify the accuracy of outbound shipments against material from stockroom
- Properly package outbound shipments to ensure contents arrive undamaged
- Handle all document filing and archiving requirements
- Follows all warehouse processes while maintaining good housekeeping in assigned work areas
- Absides by all Flowserve safety requirements
- Basis computer skills, including effectively navigating Microsoft Office
- Able to work occasional overtime including weekends and evenings
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally buddy lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Maintain cleaning check lists, forklift log, export lumber log, and crane log daily
Requirements
- Previous related shipping, packaging, and handling experience
- Forklift and Crane knowledge
- Basic Wood working Skills, saw experience, Air/Power Tools knowledge
- Basic Computer and math skills
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills

- Keen attention to detail
Preferred Experience / Skills
- HS Diploma / GED and / or 0-2 years relevant experience
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this role is $17.82 - $26.74 per hour.
