Material Handler Night Shift

Cornerstone Building Brands is a leading manufacturer of exterior building products for residential and low-rise non-residential buildings in North America. We serve residential and commercial customers across the new construction and Repair & Remodel (R&R) markets with a portfolio that includes vinyl windows, vinyl siding, stone veneer, metal roofing, metal wall systems, and metal accessories.

About the role

Base pay rate is $17.50 per hour plus $1.00 shift differential. Night shift starts at 6:00 PM. This position is located at 7301 Fairview Street, Houston, TX 77041 and may require overtime. Shift lengths vary (8, 10, or 12 hours) depending on work orders and season.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and RF scanners
• Weigh, measure, and inspect raw materials according to work orders
• Load, unload, and move crates, boxes, and materials within the plant, yard, or work site
• Sort, check, and distribute kits and components to production lines with accuracy
• Load/unload trailers between the main site and off-site distribution center
• Verify and sign for inbound freight from suppliers; clean and label materials
• Use hand tools to open containers and assist operators/inspectors
• Operate elevators and other equipment to assist product movement
• Follow SOPs, GMPs, OSHA, and safety/security/environment guidelines
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (HSE preferred)
• 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role; warehouse or manufacturing experience a plus
• Ability to lift and move up to 50–75 lbs. periodically
• Proficiency with electric pallet jacks and forklifts
• Ability to work in varying environments (including cold)
• Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and shift priorities quickly
• Comfortable with repetitive movements and standing/walking for long periods
• Must be at least 18 years of age to apply
