As the Material Handler, you will manage material needs and requirements for CAR-T production per Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in controlled and/or classified environments under the supervision of Warehousing Operations Management. Material Handlers must adhere to regulatory requirements while performing job functions. Job duties are performed within a team according to an assigned, production shift schedule. Communication of production deviations and assistance with quality investigations are required, as applicable.

This role is based in BMS Summit, NJ, and requires working on-site on a shift schedule of Sunday - Wednesday (with every other Wednesday off), 11 a.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

  • Performs inventory control cycle counts, material stocking, and scrapping, at a minimum.
  • Manages material expiry, allocation, and maintains material condition requirements.
  • Quantifies and maintains materials in production dispensary.
  • Maintains timing according to the production schedule to ensure on-time logistics.
  • Records material handling data and information in a clear, concise format according to proper Good Documentation Practices (GDPs).
  • Works in a team-based, cross-functional environment to complete warehousing tasks required by shift schedule.
  • Must be able to work in an environment with blood-derived components.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with no prior Manufacturing or Operations experience.
  • OR Associate/Medical Technical degree and 1–2 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience.
  • OR High School diploma/GED and 3–4 years of Manufacturing or Operations experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Strong MS Office experience.

Skills

  • Knowledge of cGMP/FDA-regulated industry.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • General understanding of cGMPs.
  • Technical writing capability.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Inventory control and/or management experience.
  • Background to include an understanding of biology, chemistry, medical, or clinical practices.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1 year of GMP experience.
  • 1 year of ERP experience.

Pay

The starting compensation range for this full-time role is $28.13 - $34.09 per hour. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee’s work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
