Material Handler - II

This position is part of Evident Inspection Technologies division, which delivers solutions to complex challenges by inspecting mission-critical assets and infrastructure. The division leverages nondestructive testing, remote visual inspection, and analytical instruments to support maintenance, manufacturing, and environmental applications.

About the role

This Material Handler II position is based onsite in Waltham, MA. As a level two, this individual applies acquired job skills and company procedures to complete assigned tasks with an emphasis on the receiving, picking, and put away of all inventory.

Responsibilities

• Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
• Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders, invoices, and work orders.
• Maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
• Lifts up to 50 lbs. and may operate a forklift.
• Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• Prepares kitting packages for assembly production.
• Cycle counts inventory to ensure accuracy.
• Uses root cause analysis to resolve discrepancies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1-3 years working in a stockroom or shipping/receiving environment.
• High School Diploma required.
• Functional knowledge of MRP systems preferred.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications preferred.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Accomplished “lead-by-example” tactical change agent with strong interpersonal skills.
• Attentiveness to detail is a must.
• Must be able to climb up and down a ladder.
• Computer Skills: All Microsoft Applications.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Self-motivated.

Pay

$24.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience, plus a 5% annual bonus target.
