About the role
Operates various powered industrial trucks to load and unload finished product in the shipping and receiving process.
Shift: 2nd – Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.
Equipment Knowledge
- Sit-Down Forklift
- Stand-Up/Reach Forklift
- Order Picker/Cherry Picker Forklift
Responsibilities
- Picking
- Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
- Key order into Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Verify stock availability and audit orders for accuracy.
- Convey picked orders to packing station or shipping areas.
- Receiving
- Operate various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking.
- Open crates and inspect product.
- Apply labels to product according to established procedures.
- Verify shading of product and place into accurate warehouse location.
- Putaway
- Utilize powered industrial equipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received.
- Key location of product into inventory control system and place product onto shelves.
- Ensure product is placed into accurate location.
- SPC Check/Pack Checking
- Wrap and pack products by hand into boxes for shipping.
- Label boxes with packing slip.
- Load boxes into conveyor belt.
- Verify orders for accuracy.
- General
- Monitor equipment or processes and report problems to supervisor.
- Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
- Keep area safe, clean, and organized.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 or more years of previous distribution/warehouse experience.
- Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-down forklift, reach truck, and order picker experience.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Good record-keeping skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Accurate measurement capability.
- Ability to understand and speak English.
- Ability to work in a safe, conscientious manner.
- Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
