Material Handler I

About the role

As a Material Handler I in our tube and core division, you will report to the Department Supervisor and be responsible for forklift driving and material handling of raw and finished goods. You will work in a quick and safe manner, with excellent attendance crucial for team success. This role requires a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment and flexibility to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a stand-up forklift safely and efficiently to perform assigned duties.
• Support production by handling and distributing finished goods and raw materials to appropriate workstations throughout the plant.
• Check and verify tags, markings, and labels for accuracy.
• Load and unload trucks; process and maintain appropriate paperwork.
• Maintain parts inventory; assist with monthly inventory; arrange and sort warehouse stock.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.

Requirements

• Previous experience driving a forklift.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions.
• Capability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
