What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare customer orders for shipment according to company procedures and customer requirements.
- Verify product quantities, item numbers, labels, packaging, and shipping documentation before shipment.
- Print, review, and attach shipping labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Schedule or coordinate carrier pickups with freight companies and transportation providers.
- Stage, organize, and load outbound shipments in designated dock and carrier locations.
- Update shipment status, tracking information, and inventory records within warehouse or ERP systems.
- Move raw materials, finished goods, packaging supplies, and inventory throughout the facility.
- Supply production lines and work areas with the correct materials to support manufacturing operations.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, pallets, carts, and containers safely and efficiently.
- Stage materials for production, shipping, receiving, and quality inspection.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Record inventory movements, transfers, receipts, and location changes accurately.
- Aid with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and warehouse audits.
- Support receiving by transporting incoming materials to inspection, staging, or storage locations.
- Support production by delivering materials and removing finished goods or excess materials.
- Maintain organized warehouse aisles, racks, dock areas, and shipping locations.
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Able to speak, read, and write English.
- Warehouse experience (preferred).
- Experience operating Toyota sit-down LP forklifts.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and customer shipping portals.
- Experience with FedEx and UPS shipping procedures.
- Understanding of work orders, inventory control processes, receiving documents, and shipping documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, scales, and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to successfully pass both the forklift written and driving evaluations and possess a valid driver's license.
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 50 pounds occasionally.
- Comfortable sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods throughout the shift.
