Material Handler I

Ascentec Engineering is seeking a Material Handler for our Dallas, Oregon facility. This role is onsite (not remote/not hybrid) and is not eligible for Visa sponsorship or transfer of Visa sponsorship.

About the role

Shift: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Works in a machine shop environment. May on a continuous basis walk, bend and lift up to 60 lbs. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Must be flexible to work varying schedules and hours as needed. Occasional local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Receive materials into stock
• Pick materials and deliver to downstream & upstream, internal customers/departments
• Maintain accurate inventory levels
• Perform cycle counts and end of month inventory
• Maintain accurate inventory records in a computer system
• Coordinate with other staff to meet deadlines in a fast paced, quick turn environment
• Final clean and packaging for a wide variety of products
• Prepare all shipping paperwork using EpiCor, UPS and FedEx websites
• Verify incoming shipments
• Arrange occasional LTL and same-day shipments
• Local pickup and delivery back-up
• Coordinate with other staff shipping deadlines in a fast-paced, quick-turn environment

Pay

Compensation range is $16 to $21 per hour, depending on experience.
