Work Schedule
Second Shift (Afternoons) – Monday through Friday, 2:30 pm – 11:00 pm.
Environmental Conditions
- Able to lift 40 lb without assistance
- Cold Room/Freezers –22 °F (‑6 °C)
- Fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold)
- Loud noises from equipment/machinery
- Rapid flashing lights
- Personal protective equipment required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
- Standing for full shift
- Strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products, etc.)
- Various outside weather conditions
- Warehouse environment
- Work with hazardous/toxic materials
- Working at heights
Responsibilities
- Receiving, examining, sorting, arranging, counting, storing, picking, and packing items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements
- Preparing and filing routine documentation
- Maintaining quality metrics
- Operating material‑handling equipment (e.g., hand truck, pallet jack, forklift)
- Working in and out of a +4 °C walk‑in cold room and a –20 °C walk‑in freezer
Experience
- No previous work experience required
- Preferred: Experience in distribution, warehouse, supply‑chain, or related field
- Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)

- Ability to analyze and solve problems independently and collaboratively
- Self‑motivated, self‑starter with strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to partner with colleagues of diverse cultural, language, and educational backgrounds

Physical Requirements / Work Environment
- Regularly sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms
- Close vision and ability to adjust focus required
- Regularly required to lift up to 20 lb; may need to lift 45 lb or more with assistance or equipment
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly pay range (New York): $12.56 – $18.84. May be eligible for a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance.
