About the role
A Material Handler I moves material—including glass and/or metal—from one position or location to another to expedite product flow throughout the plant. Duties include on/off-loading product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates. This role reports to the Production Supervisor and is ideal for someone with a strong attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency), a solid work ethic, reliability, and problem-solving skills. It’s a vital position within the Production Department and an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Responsibilities
- On/off-load product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
- Read work orders and follow job standards for safety, quality, and production.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
- Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.
- Prior work experience in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted.
- Ability to stand and move around on your feet for 8–10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
- Able to withstand moderate to high noise levels in the work environment.
- Prior work history in a plant facility subject to regional climate conditions (heat, cold, humidity, etc.).

Pay
Starting pay rate: $26.70 per hour.
