Material Handler I (1st Shift)

Schedule

• Monday through Friday - 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM
• Monday through Saturday - 4:30 AM to 2:00 PM

  Pay

  $16.25/hour

  Essential Job Functions

  • Ability to use a hand scanner
  • Picks-up incoming materials from the Receiving dock
  • Unloads and puts away stock in the Bulk storage area
  • Provides replenishment materials to workstations in a timely manner
  • Pulls and stocks correct product to appropriate boxes and pick locations
  • Transfers finished products to designated areas
  • Stacks empty skids and pallets in designated areas
  • Operates a manual and/or motorized pallet jack
  • Uses knowledge and experience to resolve basic operating problems; reports other problems to manager

    Duties, Responsibilities, and Activities May Change

    • Immediately report hazards
    • Immediately report unsafe work practices and incidents to supervisors
    • Wear required personal protective equipment
    • Participate in and support safety committee activities

      Education & Experience

      • High School diploma or GED equivalent required, or equivalent combination of education and experience

      Competencies

      • Familiarity with part numbering systems is a plus.
      • Able to operate a pallet jack, forklift, order picker and Drexel.
      • Able to work accurately from verbal and written instructions.

      Work Environment and Physical Demands

      • Work Environment: Material Handler must be forklift operation certified.
      • Standing on concrete floors up to 8 hrs/day.
      • Exposure to loud noise.
      • Physical Demands: Medium - Heavy, lifting up to 70 lbs.
