Material Handler/Forklift Operator - Rotating 3rd Shift

About the role

This position works in a clean, consistent and safety-conscious environment. The role is designated as Safety-Sensitive, meaning the associate’s inability or impaired ability to perform job-related tasks could result in a direct threat to their safety or the safety of others. Product Security Sensitive responsibilities include guarding against the introduction of unmanifested cargo into outbound shipments.

Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift to load and unload trucks, haul finished goods and raw materials to and from the manufacturing line, and pull orders as needed
• Stand for long periods; get on and off the forklift consistently and safely; bend, reach, grab and twist
• Accurately complete required documentation
• Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment and processes as needed
• Follow PPE and GMP guidelines to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
• Attend dock meetings for team and company communications

Requirements

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, grab and twist
• Physical examination and pre-employment drug screen required upon conditional job offer

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Previous material handling experience

Pay

• Starting rate: $23.00 per hour
• $2.00 per hour shift premium included
• Potential to make up to $26.30 per hour through additional training and premiums
• $3,000 retention bonus available, paid at 90 days, 160 days and 365 days of employment

Schedule

• Rotating 3rd shift
• 2-2-3 rotating schedule
• Hours: 5:30 PM – 5:30 AM
