Responsibilities
- Interpret production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping documents, and requisitions to determine material movement and distribution needs.
- Move, transport, and deliver materials and products from receiving or production areas to storage locations or designated work areas.
- Sort and store materials on racks, shelves, or bins according to established sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Pick, assemble, and distribute materials to support production orders and internal requests.
- Assemble customer orders from inventory, palletize shipments, and prepare products for distribution.
- Label and mark materials with appropriate identifying information.
- Open and handle bales, crates, cartons, and other containers safely.
- Accurately record quantities of materials received, stored, or distributed.
- Weigh or count items to ensure accuracy and compliance with company standards.
- Enter inventory and transaction data into computer systems.
- Operate manual and powered material-handling equipment to transport and store inventory.
- Load and unload palletized and non-palletized products from trailers.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of Material Handler experience or related experience.
- Forklift experience.
- Communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to use personal computers and software in a variety of functions including: keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, and e-mail.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Pay
The estimated pay range for this position is $18/hr. – $20/hr. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
