Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and compare them to purchase orders and packing lists for accuracy
- Inspect materials for any damage and report any issues to the supervisor
- Properly store materials in designated locations in the warehouse
- Pick and pack materials for outgoing orders, ensuring that they are accurately counted and properly packaged
- Load and unload materials onto trucks using forklifts or other warehouse equipment
- Perform regular cycle counts and reconciling any discrepancies
- Assist with inventory management by updating inventory records and conducting inventory audits
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and quality standards, complying with Food Safety guidelines procedures, rules and regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role
- Valid standup forklift certification
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of inventory management practices
