About the Role
In this role, you will store and distribute materials and product throughout the manufacturing facility using a variety of material handling equipment. We’re looking for dedicated team members with a drive to build the best.
Responsibilities
- Read production schedules, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
- Move materials and items from receiving or production areas to designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility.
- Open boxes, crates, and other containers.
- Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to documented standard work or predetermined sequence (e.g., part number, commodity, size, product code).
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for material, tools, or other stock items and distribute to production work areas.
- Mark materials with identifying information.
- Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance to standard work and company policy.
- Drive forklift or other material handling vehicles when necessary.
- Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offer suggestions or make improvements that achieve the department’s performance board metrics.
Requirements
- Successful completion of Vermeer forklift certification as required for the work location.
- Demonstration of effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to respond to questions from managers and suppliers.
- Ability to perform basic functions in Glovia.
- Ability to perform problem-solving techniques.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation.
- Must have the ability to obtain a Vermeer Forklift Operators License.

Pay
Hourly wage range: $22.50 - $24.40
