Material Handler

$25 per hour

Schedule

Full-time contract positions available:

• 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Onsite in Holland, MI.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 5-10 years of experience preferred
• Consistent, reliable work history
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to read warehouse software
• Forklift certification
• Basic material preparation skills
• Longevity in prior roles preferred
• Must already possess legal right to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship available)

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
• Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or designated locations
• Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or bins based on size, type, style, color, or product code
• Fill requisitions, work orders, or material requests and distribute stock to production areas
• Assemble customer orders from stock and place them on pallets
• Mark materials with identifying information
• Open bales, crates, and other containers
• Record quantities of materials or items received or distributed
• Weigh or count items to ensure they meet company standards
• Use a computer to enter and maintain records
• Drive material handling equipment to transport stored items
• Load and unload trailers with palletized and non-palletized products
• Utilize both manual and automated material handling equipment
