Material Handler

About the role

This position is responsible for the movement of all material within the plant. Bonus opportunities are available including Gainshare Bonus, Quarterly Attendance Bonus, and Production Bonus.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts to move materials within the plant
• Maintain preventative maintenance procedures on forklifts
• Participate in training and development programs
• Follow health and safety practices as they apply to area of work and the facility
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks as needed
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements

• Qualified or certified to operate forklifts in the plant
• Must wear personal protective equipment as outlined in the department policy
• Must be able to do some heavy lifting
• Continuous operation of forklift and getting on and off to perform required job duties
• Occasionally required to work in extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)

Qualifications

• High School degree preferred
• National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) Bronze preferred
• Previous manufacturing or related experience a plus

Skills

• Mechanical skills preferred

Pay

Starting pay is $22.40 per hour 1st and 2nd Shift

Benefits

• Gainshare Bonus - up to 10% of gross monthly pay, potentially $300 per month
• Quarterly Attendance Bonus - up to $600 each quarter
• Production Bonus - based on plant hitting production goals, potentially $50 per month and more
