About the role
This position is responsible for material handling in support of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and production.
Responsibilities
- Lift and move items/packages as required using safe lifting techniques.
- Load and/or unload trucks in support of shipping / receiving activities.
- Able to use the ERP system related to inventory moves and stock review.
- Perform other functions in the shipping and receiving process as required.
- Use a computer as needed for communications and reference of documentation related to job requirements.
- Maintain housekeeping in the areas of responsibility and support 5s activity.
- Transport goods in company vehicles between plants and outside process vendors as required.
- Pack outgoing shipments and parcels as required.
- Perform cycle counting as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Experience in shipping, receiving, material handling, and/or warehousing is desired. Forklift experience is desired.
- Technical Skills: Must be capable of comprehending written quality instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Other Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license. Forklift license is desired. Must be computer literate.
