About the role
Material Handler assisting in general construction tasks within an industrial construction project environment. Responsible for knowing and following appropriate safety procedures.
Responsibilities
- Assist with movement of materials, including spotting for operators during loading and unloading of trucks.
- Check in construction materials upon delivery.
- Perform work area clean-up, including yard maintenance such as weed eating, mowing, and trash pickup.
- Follow job-related instructions and perform additional duties as requested by supervisor or designated representative.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience in Industrial Construction, Warehouse, or Supply Chain.
- Reliable transportation and valid Driver’s License.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Must pass pre-employment screens, including drug test and background check.
- Per Diem provided if field location is outside of 50 miles from home address.
Safety Requirements
- Promote awareness of environmental, health, and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with company policies.
- Pass drug test as mandated by Saulsbury Industries and Department of Transportation anti-drug program.
- Complete Saulsbury Industries safety training education.
- Attend safety meetings and specialty training as directed by management.
- Take necessary safety precautions in performing work.
- Wear Fire Resistant Clothing (FRC) as required.
Physical Requirements
- Manual and finger dexterity.
- Eye-hand coordination.
- Depth perception.
- Far visual acuity (ability to see things clearly beyond arm’s reach).
- Ability to see small details.
