About the role
The Material Handler is responsible for supporting production and packaging operations through the accurate movement, tracking, and verification of materials. This role ensures timely material availability by performing inventory transactions in SAP, transferring materials between warehouse and production areas, and maintaining compliance with quality, safety, and cGMP requirements. The Material Handler works closely with Production, Quality, and Logistics teams to support efficient operations, resolve material-related issues, and contribute to a safe, organized, and compliant manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute SAP transactions and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with cGMP and company procedures.
- Transfer materials between warehouse and production areas using manual or electric pallet jacks to support uninterrupted operations.
- Verify incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy, quality, and inventory compliance.
- Support production operations as needed, including equipment operation, monitoring, and routine adjustments.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment while participating in continuous improvement and safety initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Minimum two years of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, or related industrial environments.
- Experience operating manufacturing equipment and performing routine quality inspections.
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment preferred.
- Experience using ERP systems, preferably SAP, and maintaining accurate inventory transactions.
Skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately complete documentation and system transactions.
- Basic computer, data entry, and mathematical skills required for inventory and production activities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate across production, quality, and logistics teams.
