Material Handler

About the role

We are looking for a Material Handler to contribute to the success of the Supply Chain Team. This role involves performing tasks such as cycle counts, fulfilling customer orders, issuing materials from the stockroom, participating in physical inventory, pulling kits to fulfill work orders, and shipping/receiving responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and exceptional material handling activities such as pulling kits, issuing materials, and actively providing support for material requests, receiving, returns, filling shortages, and customer pulls
• Ensure material accuracy through cycle counts, identifying and reporting inventory errors, and following good inventory practices
• Provides additional support through data entry and audits
• Work effectively with other team members to ensure that customers' quality and delivery expectations are met
• Effectively work with internal customers and suppliers
• Operate forklift as needed (training provided)
• Identify tasks and work towards their completion
• Continuously evaluate processes for improvements in efficiency, quality, and safety

Requirements

• One year of related experience in a manufacturing/shipping environment required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong attention to detail
• Customer orientation, a willingness to learn
