Location: Redlands, CA • Duration: 5 months • Hours: 40/week • Pay: $16–20/hr • Schedule: 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm (2nd shift) • Employment type: W2 contract (US citizens or Green Card holders only)

About the role

We are looking for eager candidates to be trained on pallet jacks, forklifts, and other operating equipment. No prior experience is required as long as you demonstrate enthusiasm and a willingness to learn during the interview.

Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of equipment—forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks—to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within the plant, office, or warehouse.
  • Maintain records as needed.
  • Develop skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area, process, or method.
  • Apply basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps.
  • Work within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods, adhering to quality guidelines.
  • Work under general to limited supervision.

Physical demands

  • Regularly walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, climb, lift, crouch, reach, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, and twist.
  • Frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, pick, or type, which may include repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, or fingers.
  • Lift and/or move objects over 50 lbs.
  • Work near moving mechanical parts, in extreme weather conditions, and with vibration.
  • Occasional exposure to high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles.
  • Work environment is hot in summer (no AC) and cold in winter (limited heating). Noise level is moderate to loud.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (waived for this position).
  • Zero to one year of warehouse or related experience and/or training.
  • Obtain and/or maintain appropriate licenses, training, or certifications as needed.
  • Effective communication skills at a level coworkers and supervisors can understand.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents in English and perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to perform in a metrics-driven environment.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production).
