Material Handler

Job Purpose

Efficiently and effectively process transactions and deliver products and parts to internal and external customers. Perform numerous plant support duties as assigned.

Essential Duties

• Stocks and locates materials including bundled bar stock material
• Cut bar stock material to specified lengths
• Accurately complete computer transactions in support of material moves
• Receives and ships product and parts
• Moves parts between production centers
• Provides containers to production groups
• Wash machined parts totes
• Operates all power and hand equipment as required – includes fork lift, overhead cranes, band saw, banding tooling, stretch wrapper, waste stream evaporator
• Performs cycle counting
• Keeps records as required
• Attentive to daily upkeep of forklift equipment
• Reports any/all safety hazards and dangers
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent
• Must be or become fork lift operations qualified
• Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
• In an eight hour day, employee must be able to stand/walk/sit, for up to eight hours
• Required to frequently stoop, bend, lift and load up to 40 pounds
• Must have knowledge of Graco safety rules and practices
• Personal computer skills or experience (preferred)
• Completion of Math for Manufacturing and Blueprint Reading for Manufacturing (preferred)
• Previous manufacturing and/or Material Handling experience (preferred)

Pay

$23.00 - $25.15 per hour
