Material Handler

About the role
This position is located in Napoleon, Ohio and is a brownfield plant start-up. The facility will be a Dana final assembly plant for the Ford Bronco and Ranger products. Forklift experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Transport Materials and inventory - Load, unload, pick, put away, consolidate, stack and stage products and materials using a forklift, pallet jack, tugger, turret or other power equipment in accordance with FIFO policy.
- Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
- Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, trash, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
- Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
- Confirms shipping details or special instructions; expedites shipments that affect the manufacturing process schedule.
- Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
- Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
- Conduct cycle counts, which includes verifying accuracy of quantity of materials.
- Load finished goods for shipment to customers with industrial truck / material handling equipment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing & walking.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be willing to operate all power equipment utilized within the Materials department.
Pay
Starting Rate: $21.00 per hour.
