About the role
As a Material Handler at Ascentek, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our warehouse. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Expedite the unloading of material from trailers, verifying item numbers and checking for discrepancies
- Receive Purchase Orders (POs) using a handheld computerized Warehouse Management System
- Read Production Work Tickets to determine items to be picked and staged in the Work Order staging area
- Pick and stage orders by interpreting customer-specific work instructions
- Maintain clean and orderly work area and warehouse
- Verify the accuracy of all system transactions
- Ensure outbound loads meet customer expectations in terms of quality
- Adhere to and maintain company's ISO standards
Requirements
- A minimum of 4 years' experience of forklift operations and training
- Experience using a computerized Warehouse Management System
- Good command of the English language and ability to read and understand written instructions
- Basic mathematical skills to accurately complete job tasks
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Ability to interpret instructions and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of basic tools, material handler equipment, and hand-held scanners
- Physical demands: frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs, standing, walking, bending, operating material handling equipment for extended periods
- Environmental demands: exposure to warehouse temperature changes, noise, and moving machinery
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: gloves, steel-toed shoes, and safety glasses
Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED is preferred.

The position is full-time, First Shift, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm.
