Material Handler - 7pm - 7am shift

12-month contract position on W2 basis. Open to US Citizens, Green-Card holders, GC-EAD, OPT, EAD, or CPT.

About the role

Uses a variety of equipment such as forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products or goods within a plant, office, or warehouse. May maintain records. Develops skills in basic tasks, techniques, and procedures within one skill area, process, or method. Applies basic knowledge and skills to complete routine tasks consisting of prescribed steps. Works within clearly defined SOPs and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines. Works under general to limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts, conveyers, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks
• Move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished products within the facility
• Maintain records as required
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines
• Perform routine tasks under limited supervision

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Zero to one year of warehouse experience or related experience and/or training
• Obtain and/or maintain appropriate licenses, training, or certifications as needed
• Basic skills training in an analytical/scientific method or operational process area (e.g., material handling and management, logistics, manufacturing production)
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to read, write, interpret, and comprehend documents written in English
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Ability to perform/operate in a metrics-driven environment
• General computer skills

• Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, climb, lift, crouch, reach, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, twist, and use hands for repetitive motion tasks
• Lifting and/or moving objects over 50 lbs
• Exposure to work near moving mechanical parts, extreme weather conditions, and vibration
• Occasional exposure to high, precarious places and fumes/airborne particles
• Work environment is hot in summer (no AC) and cold in winter (limited heating)
• Moderate to loud noise level in the work environment

Pay

$16–20 per hour

7:00 PM – 7:00 AM shift, 40 hours per week
