About the role
This position supports HPP (High Pressure Processing) by moving product within the Warehouse and HPP production areas, operating material handling equipment, and performing inventory and order-related tasks in a cold, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Utilize a manual pallet jack to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product and materials
- Operate a forklift to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product and materials
- Perform inventory counts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Handle shipping and receiving duties as assigned
- Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, and putaway tasks
- Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, including pre-operation equipment checks
- Perform order filler and checker duties
- Maintain equipment and adhere to health, safety, and cleanliness standards
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
- 6 months of material handling equipment (MHE) or forklift experience (preferred)
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems (preferred)
- Refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience (preferred)
- Ability to perform basic mental math
- Ability to communicate in English (speak, read, and write)
- Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to stand for 8 to 10-hour shifts and perform repetitive bending, twisting, and lifting
- Ability to lift 45 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. rarely
- Ability to work with allergenic food ingredients (for team members in direct contact)
Working Conditions
This job operates in a wet and cold manufacturing facility with an average temperature of 32 degrees. The role requires physical endurance, including standing for extended shifts and performing repetitive motions.
