Material Handler 2nd Shift

About the role

This position supports HPP (High Pressure Processing) by moving product within the Warehouse and HPP production areas, operating material handling equipment, and performing inventory and order-related tasks in a cold, fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a manual pallet jack to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product and materials
• Operate a forklift to load, unload, move, stack, stage, and count product and materials
• Perform inventory counts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Handle shipping and receiving duties as assigned
• Use radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving, and putaway tasks
• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, including pre-operation equipment checks
• Perform order filler and checker duties
• Maintain equipment and adhere to health, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)
• 6 months of material handling equipment (MHE) or forklift experience (preferred)
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Experience using warehouse management and inventory systems (preferred)
• Refrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience (preferred)
• Ability to perform basic mental math
• Ability to communicate in English (speak, read, and write)
• Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safety
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for 8 to 10-hour shifts and perform repetitive bending, twisting, and lifting
• Ability to lift 45 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. rarely
• Ability to work with allergenic food ingredients (for team members in direct contact)

Working Conditions

This job operates in a wet and cold manufacturing facility with an average temperature of 32 degrees. The role requires physical endurance, including standing for extended shifts and performing repetitive motions.
