Key Responsibilities
- Moves material around plant using a forklift and/or crane for producing, finishing, packaging, or shipping the customer product.
- Ensures areas are supplied with parts and removes finished skids to warehouse or paint line.
- Moves and stages material as scheduled for optimum efficiency.
- Provides machine support by emptying scrap tubs and ensuring lines are cleared of finished product.
- Packages finished product for shipment.
- Tracks orders and tags.
- Fulfills miscellaneous tasks throughout plant to ensure safe, efficient and quality production of materials.
- Picks parts from a picklist and delivers to production lines when scheduled.
- Performs scheduled tugger routes to production lines refilling bins with parts from a market.
Key Skills And Competencies
- Must be able to handle physical, repetitive work and be able to stand on your feet for 8-10 hrs a day.
- Good hand-eye coordination.
- Mechanical aptitude a plus, but not required.
- Comeptent in basic math and computer skills.
- Can operate banding tools.
- Read a tape measure.
- Must be able to handle small parts.
- Understand and follow the quality policy and procedures.
- Able to recognize quality issues and problems – detect defects.
- Understand English.
- Understand and follow detailed instructions on productions.
- Able to distinguish between part numbers and sizes.
- Able to count and label parts accurately.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Have good safety awareness and efficiency skills.
- Oral and written communication skills – including legible writing.
Education And Experience Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Working Conditions/Other Work Hours/Status
- The 1st shift includes Monday - Thursday 5am – 3pm.
- The 2nd shift includes Monday - Thursday 3pm - 1am with a shift differential of $3.00/hr.
- The weekend shift includes Friday – Sunday 6am-6pm for a total of 36 hours and added weekend shift differential of $4.50/hr.
