1st Shift Material Handler - $20/hr

Job Summary

Warehouse Material Handlers are responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving and shipping customer orders to ensure timely and secure processing.

Responsibilities

• Check-in and put away incoming warehouse inventory.
• Packaging orders to ensure customers receive orders intact within a short timeframe and with high accuracy.
• Downsizing packaging to minimize shipping costs without compromising product quality and insurance.
• Billing and shipping completed orders using provided warehouse software.
• Palletizing and loading finished shipments onto trailers using provided equipment.
• Safely operating and maintaining warehouse equipment to ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicating with warehouse supervisors regarding any issues or concerns related to work duties.

Physical Requirements

• Regularly stand and/or walk for up to 12 hours per day.
• Requires effective communication using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Regularly uses hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Regularly lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls medium weights (up to 75 lbs).

Experience

One year or more of relevant experience in a distribution environment is preferred but not required.

Education

This role does not require a degree. Relevant skills and experience, along with alignment with our core values, are valued above formal education.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations.

Working Environment

• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
• Occasional exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity.
• Exposure to dust, fumes, and gases.
• Moderate noise levels in the work environment.
• Average and normal activity of employees passing through the work area.
