About the role
Belmark is seeking a Material Expediter to join our team. This role involves managing the flow of materials through departments to align with production schedules. The position focuses on innovation and customer satisfaction, fostering a friendly and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety procedures and adhere to Safe Quality Foods requirements.
- Ensure correct amounts and types of stock are available according to the production schedule.
- Return unused stock to the warehouse.
- Achieve accurate inventory management through computer entries and stock size changes.
- Deliver non-stock items to the appropriate person or area.
- Maintain clear aisles and ensure the stock press has a neat appearance.
- Record accurate stock usage and communicate with the lead press operator to meet scheduling needs.
- Stock the next shift's presses according to the schedule to minimize downtime.
- Assist during physical inventory.
- Operate material transporting equipment safely and assist the material handler as needed.
- Properly dispose of waste ink, spent solvents, and other hazardous waste according to guidelines.
Requirements
- Education equivalent to two years of high school.
- Knowledge of the English language and ability to write legibly.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
- Ability to operate a computer.
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain concentration and attention to detail.
- Physical abilities: stand and walk for 90% of work time, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for 10% of work time, use hands for 100% of work time, and reach above shoulder for 25% of work time.
- Strength: lift up to 10 pounds 20% of the time, up to 25 pounds 20% of the time, up to 50 pounds 50% of the time, and up to 100 pounds 10% of the time.

Pay
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour. The hourly rate is determined by the role level, relevant experience, and may include shift differentials.
Schedule
The AM shift hours are from 4:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M., with a schedule of 3 days on and 4 days off. There are also 12-hour shifts with consistent hours, no swing shifts, and overtime after 36 hours.
