About the role

Welcome to Belmark! We are seeking an individual to join our Flexible Packaging plant in De Pere, WI. Here, we create labels, cartons, pressure-sensitive, and flexible film products that you see daily when shopping.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a solventless laminator at the highest efficiency possible
  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions to produce a high-quality product
  • Nurture a food safety culture by adhering to Safe Quality Foods requirements
  • Comply with and follow all standard operating procedures and work instructions
  • Utilize required personal protective equipment and correct safety procedures
  • Maintain quality, productivity, and waste according to set standards
  • Ensure product adhesive weight and appearance
  • Maintain adhesives
  • Ensure proper sleeve, tensions, machine alignment, and settings on each job
  • Weave the laminator
  • Clean the laminator
  • Install sleeves and assist in installing rollers
  • Install shafts in the turrets

Requirements

  • Education equivalent to two (2) years of high school
  • Knowledge of and the ability to effectively utilize the English language
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple written and oral instructions
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of the position
  • May be required to work some overtime
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
  • Ability to give, receive, and analyze information
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail
  • Ability to: stand and walk for 90% of work time; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for 10% of work time
  • Ability to: see clearly at 20 inches or less; see clearly at 20 feet or more; identify and distinguish colors; observe and area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point; judge distances and spatial relationships; and to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus
  • Ability to: use hands for 100% of work time; reach above shoulders for 50% of work time; and use feet to operate machines for 30% of work time
  • Ability to lift: 10 pounds or less 25% of work time; 25 pounds or less 30% of work time; 50 pounds or less 25% of work time; and may lift 100 pounds or less 5% of work time. (Example: lifting roll of material on and off the press approximately 6 ft.)
  • May lift 100 pounds or more
  • May be required to use sense of smell

Pay

$23.00 - $25.00 per Hour. The hourly rate for this position is determined by the level of the role, relevant experience, and may incorporate shift differentials, ensuring fair compensation that reflects both expertise and responsibilities entailed. Shift differential for the PM shift is $2.00 per hour.

Schedule

PM shift hours are from 4:00 P.M. - 4:00 A.M. with a schedule of 3 days on and 4 days off. 12-hour shifts with consistent hours, NO SWING SHIFTS. Overtime after 36 hours!
