Material Expediter - Flexible Packaging (AM - 1B Shift) - Plant 3

About the role

Belmark is seeking a Material Expediter to manage the flow of materials through departments to align with production schedules. This role focuses on innovation and customer satisfaction within a friendly work environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and adhere to Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Ensure correct amounts and types of stock are available according to the schedule.
• Return unused stock to the warehouse.
• Achieve accurate inventory management through computer entries and stock size changes.
• Deliver non-stock items to the appropriate person or area.
• Maintain clear aisles and ensure the stock press is neat.
• Record accurate stock usage and communicate with the lead press operator.
• Stock the next shift's presses according to the schedule to minimize downtime.
• Assist during physical inventory.
• Operate material transporting equipment safely and assist the material handler.
• Properly dispose of waste ink, spent solvents, and other hazardous waste.

Requirements

• Education equivalent to two years of high school.
• Basic reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Computer literacy.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.
• Physical capabilities to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Visual acuity to see clearly at various distances and distinguish colors.
• Strength to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of English language and ability to write legibly.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, decimals, and fractions.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• May require some overtime.

Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour. Shift differential for the AM shift is $1.00 per hour.

Schedule

AM shift hours are from 3:00 A.M. - 3:00 P.M., with a schedule of 3 days on, 1 day off, 3 days on and 7 days off. 12-hour shifts with consistent hours, no swing shifts. Overtime after 36 hours!
