Material Expediter - 1437
About the role
This position requires knowledge of inventory and document control with an energetic work ethic able to adapt with changing priorities. Daily job requirements remain consistent but can change as assigned by your Manager.
Responsibilities
- Verify inventory for correct quantity, condition, paperwork, and trace.
- Scan paperwork into On Base and update lots in Corridor.
- Large Items in crates need width, height and length along with weight of crate into lots in Corridor.
- Some items will need photographed and attached pictures to lots for sales team to use.
- Consolidate and organize inventory.
- Assign bins to new inventory and place on shelf.
- Follow up with customers on outstanding cores.
- Verify cost on part is correct before part is invoiced.
- Receive unexpected parts.
- Assist Shipping and Receiving as needed.
- Verify PO and core for accuracy and prepare part to be shipped.
- Research vendor invoices that are sent to our work flow in On base and resolve.
- Cut and modify crates using small handheld saws and drills.
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Requirements
A High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Prior purchasing or inventory control experience is preferred.
Aviation specific experience in purchasing parts is ideal but not required.
Having previous computer experience with mainframe and PC databases, internet use, and working with numbers/calculations is a must.
Qualifications
We're looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
Must be well organized, have a high attention to detail, strong written/verbal/analytical and interpersonal skills and the capability to work with minimal supervision.
Skills
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Shop products and/or services for competitive pricing.
Maintain high standards of certification and traceability of all parts and product purchased.
Analyze stock requirements to maintain mandated levels.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.

- The hourly rate for this position generally ranges between $29 - $35. Actual hourly rate will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience and performance.
- Additional compensation in the form of a shift differential will be provided if the employee is assigned to an alternate shift.
- The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package. Other forms of compensation include a semi-annual discretionary bonus, 401(k) company match and employer contribution to a Health Savings Account (HSA).

West Star Aviation offers flexible work schedules including 5x8, 4x10 and 3x12.
You are paid more often.
Compensation is weekly.
