About the role

The Warehouse / Material Coordinator receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products. This non-exempt role reports to the Foreman and follows specific procedures with frequent work checks.

Responsibilities

  • Insure stock is organized and stock levels are maintained
  • Receive deliveries, update SAP, and stage materials ahead of planned and non-planned maintenance activities
  • Read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in lifting, transporting, storing, and loading materials and products using conveyors, cranes, hoists, or industrial trucks
  • Study receiving or shipping notices, requests for material movement, and warehousing space to develop schedules for material handling activities
  • Coordinate with supervisors of other departments to manage material or product flow
  • Verify or prepare records such as routing slips, material requisitions, and job orders
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment at all times

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience in an industrial warehouse
  • Proficient in SAP Materials Management
  • Forklift experience
  • Valid Driver’s License (required)
  • Ability to pass all required Safety Council Courses
  • Basic computer skills (preferred)
  • Pre-employment qualification test (if applicable)
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
  • Computer literacy in Google Workspace
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Forklift operation experience (preferred)
  • Compliance with job site orientation and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve shirt, gloves, steel toe boots, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Preferably one (1) to four (4) years of experience in the specified skill
  • Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of self or others in the workplace

Physical Involvement

Employee may be required to perform the following tasks:

  • Climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level
  • Maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, and structures
  • Reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials
  • Coordinating eye, hand, and finger movements to operate tools and equipment
  • Lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead
  • Carrying objects, tools, and equipment
  • Standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, crouching/squatting, and crawling
  • Seeing and hearing (with or without correction)

Final compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
