About the role
The Material Coordinator is responsible for the management of inventoried materials which includes receiving, inventory control, tracking, and filling orders in a warehouse setting.
Responsibilities
- Pick and stage materials for production orders and internal requests
- Post receipts for incoming raw materials and finished product from external suppliers
- Put away released materials into inventory locations
- Create and post ERP journals for material movements
- Create and/or move inventory locations both physically and in the ERP
- Maintain and organize inventory storage areas
- Consolidate materials in inventory to free up stocking space
- Perform cycle counts according to plan
- Support the scrap reporting and scrap removal process
- Verify inventory quality by inspecting label legibility, product qty, item, and batch
- Pull, load, transport, and unload inventory into various warehouse locations as required
- Complete and follow company and department assigned training
- Follow company policies and practices
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of inventory and/or warehouse experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Computer entry and typing skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of mathematics
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
- Ability to work independently without close supervision
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to be on your feet for periods of time
- Ability to work in coolers and freezers for periods of time
- Ability to problem solve; including the ability to identify problems and bring to management to evaluate a course of action
- Willingness to improve, learn and adapt to change
- Ability to support and work within the team environment

- Ability to learn and use the ERP system within the scope of the job
- Ability to learn and be certified on powered pallet jack (Forklift certification if needed)
- Work authorization that does not require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States

Pay
Pay Range $18.40 - $25.30 per hour
