Material Coordinator 1st Shift

The Material Coordinator will support extraordinary teams by handling inventory control, material analysis, and transfers, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor in Salt Lake City.

Responsibilities

• Compute material requirements for job orders and manage requisitioning and delivery schedules to optimize inventory.
• Examine and verify that materials delivered conform to specifications before distribution to production departments.
• Maintain accurate manual and computerized inventory records, including status and location of materials.
• Create, update, and analyze various reports to support data‑driven decision‑making and action plans.
• Administer inventory cycle count programs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate inventory levels.
• Conduct internal and external transfers of materials to support production schedules and maintain stock levels.
• Investigate unusual material usage and suggest corrective actions to resolve inventory issues.
• Verify accuracy of material kits against pick lists and track defect levels to enhance quality performance.

Qualifications

• Advanced functional skills and inventory control analysis.
• Broad knowledge of functional techniques with input to process improvements.
• Awareness of, and ability to apply, new techniques.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, memos, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Effective presentation skills in one‑on‑one and small‑group situations to customers, clients, vendors, associates, and other employees.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English.
