Key Responsibilities
- Cook up scheduling priorities between Applied Equipment departments, manufacturing plants, and external partners to maintain order schedules and optimize production capability.
- Communicate and document accurate chiller lead times while ensuring proper plant scheduling.
- Support supply-demand activities, including the Sales and Operations Planning process.
- Track lead time for processing orders between Customer Service and the Manufacturing Plants and identify opportunities to improve performance.
- Help reduce time lost on orders placed on manufacturing hold.
- Maintain professional working relationships with Sales, Service, Customers, Suppliers, Product Management, and Engineering to keep communication and information flow efficient and timely.
- React to engineering changes that affect product ordering and order status.
- Proactively communicate issues related to delays or accelerations in scheduled dates.
- Complete other assignments as needed.
Qualifications
- A university degree and at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing scheduling or project management.
- Non-degree candidates with at least 10 years of manufacturing scheduling or project management experience will also be considered.
- Ability to work effectively and independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with senior stakeholders across different geographies and functional disciplines.
- Comfort maintaining VP- and Director-level relationships and adapting communication style appropriately.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PC applications.
- Ability to learn new technologies as needed.
- Minimal travel required.
- Nice to have: Exposure to business-based systems such as Oracle, Experience supporting S&OP, ERP/MRP-based planning, or master scheduling processes.
