About the role
The Master Scheduler reports through the Materials Planning organization and is responsible for looking globally across the supply chain network to gather and manage information about our business capacity to meet customer demand. This role is responsible for managing and improving the supply chain planning & execution process within the business segment.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes the monthly plan (SIOP) and all associated initiatives within the business to achieve on time shipments to meet internal and external customer needs.
- Leads driving efficiency across the supply chain through planning and forecasting material replenishment and a supply schedule that anticipates and adapts to variable demand requirements in support of the operating plan (SIOP).
- Collaborates with broader supply chain team on all opportunities to level load the plan to drive improvements in service, quality, inventory, on-time shipment & delivery, order fulfillment, cycle time, capacity management and growth.
- Recognizes implications of problems and gaps to the plan (SIOP) and accurately communicates/escalates.
- Responsible for all Master Data at the site for PeopleSoft ERP.
- Liaison between cross-functional departments; i.e. Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, and Manufacturing.
- Identifies issues and either resolves or escalates appropriately.
- Responsible for identifying areas for process improvement and development within all levels of the operation.
- Challenges current manufacturing strategies to ensure that the best process and most customer-oriented strategies are being utilized.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or related fields.
- 7 years experience with demonstrated success in a number of Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing roles.
- United States Citizenship.
- Able to work on-site as directed by management and as determined by the needs of the business.
- Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
Qualifications
- Solid understanding of SIOP, Inventory Management, MRP, MPS, Procurement, Logistics, and Manufacturing.
- APICS or CPIM Certification.
- Significant ERP/MRP system experience.
