Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize the Master Production Schedule to support program and production goals.
- Analyze capacity, labor, and material constraints to ensure realistic and achievable production plans.
- Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and engineering teams to align schedules with demand, resources, and technical requirements.
- Monitor schedule adherence, identify variances, and implement corrective actions to maintain on-time delivery.
- Support MRP processes by ensuring accurate data, planning parameters, and alignment between MRP outputs and the Master Production Schedule.
- Contribute to long-range planning efforts, including forecasting resource needs and supporting long-lead procurement strategies.
- Drive continuous improvement in scheduling processes, tools, and practices to enhance efficiency and schedule reliability.
- Use Microsoft Project and other scheduling tools to develop, maintain, and communicate detailed program and production schedules.
- Communicate schedule status, risks, and recovery plans clearly to stakeholders across the organization.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills to resolve scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and capacity issues.
Essential Skills
- 3–7 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong proficiency with MRP systems and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-level BOM environments and long-lead procurement cycles.
- Highly experienced with Microsoft Project for detailed scheduling and project tracking.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed scheduling decisions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across operations, supply chain, and engineering teams.
- Proven problem-solving mindset, with the ability to address capacity, labor, and material constraints.
- Experience supporting program or project scheduling in a fast-paced environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Aviation industry background or experience is preferred.
- APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred.
- Experience driving continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processes.
- Familiarity with long-range planning and forecasting in a manufacturing context.
