Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Generates and manages the master schedule.
  • Leads ERP training and implementation of modules within the planning team.
  • Closely works with Sales to analyze the forecast and impacts to capacity.
  • Develops and implements an inventory stock strategy balancing service levels and cash.
  • Presents data and issues clearly to all levels of the organization.
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Maintains master distribution schedule for the organization; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.
  • Works independently under minimal supervision and be a self-starter.
  • Led and assists in special projects.
  • Reports immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate CB policies and procedures.
  • Affixes to maintain clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Thorough understanding of the business and supply chain.
  • Able to work well with others in a team environment.
  • Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to a variety of changing situations.
  • Extremely proficient with production planning systems, such as MRP.
  • To write and read English.

Education And/Or Experience

  • BS in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or other related field.
  • Prefer 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment and working with an MRP/ERP system.
  • Understand purchasing, MRP, continuous improvement methodology, inventory control.
  • Understands inventory and lost control.
  • Proficient computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including Office (Word & Excel).
  • APIC’s certification preferred.

This is not a supervisory position.

  • The work primarily performed in a standard office environment.
  • If in manufacturing areas, may be exposed to noise, smells, heat, dust, etc.
  • Work requires the observance of fire regulations and safe work practices.
