Position Summary

The (USA) Master Plumber, Facility Services, is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure the safety and functionality of plumbing systems and related facilities. This role involves diagnosing complex plumbing issues, designing solutions, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes and regulations. The position serves as a technical expert and mentor, providing guidance to maintenance teams and managing contractor relationships. The Master Plumber supports operational excellence by maintaining accurate documentation, coordinating work orders, and responding promptly to emergency situations while upholding safety and quality standards.

What you'll do

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on plumbing systems, facilities, and equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and resolve complex plumbing issues using blueprints, manuals, and specialized tools.
  • Design and plan large-scale plumbing repairs or modifications in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Lead and mentor plumbing and maintenance associates, providing technical guidance and training on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, parts procurement, and contractor coordination to ensure timely and quality completion.
  • Respond promptly to emergency plumbing calls and maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities.

The Walmart Oklahoma Plumbing team delivers expert plumbing services to Walmart, Sam’s Clubs, and third-party clients statewide. What you'll bring

  • Proven expertise in plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair of water supply, waste disposal, and gas lines.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local, state, and national plumbing codes and safety regulations.
  • Ability to diagnose complex plumbing issues using blueprints, repair manuals, and specialized tools.
  • Experience leading and mentoring plumbing teams, providing technical guidance and training.
  • Strong skills in preventive maintenance, emergency response, and documentation of repair activities.
  • Proficiency in managing work orders, contractor coordination, and parts procurement.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 21 years of age or older.
  • 5 years’ experience in the plumbing trade (Master-level experience preferred).
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
  • Licensed Master Plumber or equivalent in good standing in the state of work.
  • Eligible for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical trade program.
  • Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Licenses in related trade in city and/or state where job is located.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience.
