Position Summary
The Master's Level Clinician provides comprehensive behavioral health services to adults with severe and persistent mental illness, including individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. This position is responsible for conducting assessments, developing and monitoring treatment plans, delivering therapeutic interventions, and coordinating community-based services as part of a multidisciplinary Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team. The clinician serves as a clinical resource within the team, promoting recovery-oriented, evidence-based, and trauma-informed practices while supporting individuals in achieving their treatment goals and enhancing overall quality of life.
Essential Functions
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and ongoing evaluations.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
- Provide individual supportive counseling and therapeutic interventions.
- Deliver clinical, rehabilitative, and recovery-oriented services in community-based settings.
- Monitor consumer progress and modify treatment approaches as needed.
- Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary.
- Cookordinate behavioral health, medical, housing, employment, financial, and community resources.
- Case Management & Service Coordination
- Provide case management services for assigned individuals.
- Advocate for individuals served and support access to community resources.
- Collaborate with families, providers, and community partners to ensure coordinated care.
- Facilitate treatment team meetings and interdisciplinary care planning.
Qualifications
- One of the following is required: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited college or university; or Registered Nurse with certification in Mental Health Nursing; or Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical supervisory experience in behavioral health.
- Minimum of two (2) years of administrative supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Delaware behavioral health professional license or comparable national certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to maintain satisfactory criminal background clearances.
