About the role
The Children’s Home of Reading, now known as CHOR YFS, is seeking a Master’s Level Clinician to provide therapeutic services to clients and families in Reading, PA. This is a collaborative and trauma-informed position where the administrative staff, residential personnel, clinicians, and medical personnel work closely together to ensure comprehensive and informed treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Conducts in-person assessments and provides individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
- Develops and implements treatment plans based on theoretical knowledge.
- Manages crisis situations and de-escalates conflicts.
- Maintains accurate and updated health records in accordance with program policies and professional standards.
- Liaises with family/community agencies and supports the implementation of treatment plans.
- Serves as a client advocate and promotes a culture of compassion.
- Maintains clients' rights and confidentiality.
- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning and demonstrates professionalism.
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited university in a clinical health discipline.
- Two (2) years verified experience in the mental health field.
- At least three (3) written references demonstrating past educational and/or employment experience.
- Valid state driver’s license.
